I totally understand that C Sections are harder and more painful to recover from than vaginal birth, but just because you had one or the other doesn't mean your better than the other mother that had the opposite. Having a C Section or Vaginal birth doesn't make you a "bad ass" "more of a mother" "braver" or "better". The fact that, that baby still came out of your body one way or another makes you a mother. Tried of seeing post about C Section VS Vaginal birth basically. Your all mothers damn it, so be happy!!!!

if it wasn't for c sections I wouldn't be here!

totally agree, no matter how it happens or natural or pain meds, we are all amazing to go through what we do for 9 months and birth!

@rachh40, exactly. I never had a c section and hope to god I don't but it really annoys me when women who have give vaginal birth think their better because its "natural" or women with c sections think their better because they went the hard way/painful. like shoot y'all had your babies just be happy that they're here, happy and healthy.

Wow that's a first I Hurd I though natural birth was harder but idk but it really don't matter mothers should care at least that they have there baby wether it's c section or natural birth and that there baby is healthy

@maggiegallardo1293, the recovery part is harder for c section because they have to have staples or stitches across their stomachs plus I think a catheter which I've heard can be painful and cause infections after its taken out where as vaginal you sometimes do or don't even need stitches after, just usually a little sore. but it doesn't matter we're all mothers no matter how our babies got here.

@maggiegallardo1293, I guess some women see it as our bodies are meant to push babies out so if your body can't do it then your not a mother. but that's just stupid thinking honestly. that's like saying our bodies are meant to breastfeed so if you don't your less of a mother, get me? but whatever way the baby is born, or even fed your still a mother.

tbh c-sections are scary and hard. your organs are being shuffled around and open for everyone to see. the recovery from a c-section is one of the hardest. I would have given anything to have a vaginal birth but my pelvic bones are too small. There's risks at any way you give birth, but you have a higher risk of dying via c-sections. me for 1 my heart rate wouldn't come up and kept dropping so low they were freaking out. I kept getting slapped telling me to breathe. Unlike vaginal with c-section you can't just get up and walk with a tiny bit of pain and able to do things normal right after delivery. You don't even get to see your child until like an hour or 2 after birth sometimes longer.

@mamabearto2cubs, I remember my first pregnancy while pushing(I was 15) I asked for one. I literally thought it was the easy way, but it didn't happen since I was already pushing. but now after my second and going on my third, I'm terrified to have one because I'm scared to be cut more than the recovery part. my step sister had vanginal but she pushed so hard it broke some veins and it was so hard for her to walk because that doesn't usually happen.

@kelseys yeah I completely understand. that happened to my aunt with the veins and my brother got brain damage from being to big and them trying to get him out. I have my 2nd c-section scheduled for July 12th and i'm terrified. I just pray this one goes a lot smoother than last time. like I said before both ways are dangerous and hard on the mothers but there's no way that a c-section is easier. I'd much rather be able to push my child out natural than fear that I'm going to die on an operating table spread out like jesus.

@kelseys I also think the c-section thing has so many people talking about how brave we are is because at 18 (when i had my first ) we were made to feel like failures. I was destroyed when I spoke to my ob and he told me after delivery that I'd never have the chance to give birth naturally. I broke down crying because it doe make you feel like less of a mother sometimes. And now that i'm older I understand all that matters is that the babies are here safe and you did everything as a mother to make that happen.
