Is there any other medication/drugs during labor besides an epidural?!

I understand. it's not in your spine and won't completely take the pain away, but makes its A LOT more manageable.

you're welcome :-) the pain isn't completely intolerable if things progress somewhat quickly. 3 days for me and I was begging for the epidural when they had to give me pictocin

it's to speed up labor, not for pain management. and yeah, my son was difficult. 3 days of labor, 3 hours of pushing, I gave in and got the c-section lol.

they put my epidural in during a contraction and I barely felt it.

@brand_3, your contraction must of been really bad. just the thought of it makes me cringe.

honestly with my first that was my main worry but it's honestly not that bad it sounds alot worse then it is.
