How important is going on birth control after giving birth? I really don't want too and my OB keeps insisting on it

@kiwi314, I have never been on birth control but I really don't want it to mess with my body. I have a friend who can't have children now because of it. I just don't want to risk it. Plus we don't want to wait super long before we try for baby #2 haha

I never got on them after my first. as long as you are using condoms or pulling out or knowing when you ovulate and avoiding sex around that time you don't need it.
