Mine wasn't so smooth , I was scheduled to be induced on the 28th Jan but started contracting on my own the day before and I ended up going the hospital a few hours later but was only 1cm but they decided to put the drip in and break my waters since I was being induced anyway, however everytime they upped my drip my blood pressure went dangerously high and I was told if they continued with the drip I wouldn't make it through the night so mine ended with an emergency c section x
mine wasn't planned. waters broke at 37+3 but 24 hours later no signs of anything else (only a few contractions far apart) so at 7 am they started me on the drip. made it till 5cm without pain relief then had gas and air and my little boy was born at 13.37 same day. the drip is the fastest way to induce but the most painful as it forces the contractions quickly so your body doesn't have time to get used to the pain. they usually suggest an epidural if you have the drip but I was determined not to have one :) xx

Mine was planned but they broke my waters first and he came three hours later so I didn't need the drip, it all started straight away x
