I just turned 21 this year.
just told my parents I'm pregnant.
they want me to marry him, and I want to but I don't want to do everything just for a baby and end up divorce.
they are really mad and basically they told me I'm on my own.
which I understand I don't blame them.
but friends I know when they told their parents they didn't reacted that way.
their mom at least told them not to worry and that life kept going, or we're here.
my parents just rub on my face how I ruined my life, how disappointed they are and that I better figure all this out. I have an apt I'm moving out, I was just wondering why my parents seem to be so different to other parents. I'm actually jealous of how my friends parents supported them I wish they would've told me at least we're here even if they were mad.
Cuz my baby is just a mistake for them and on any way see it differently.

keep your head up! a baby is a blessing and I am sure they will come around after a while. I'm sure you will be a good mommy!!!

Honestly is ok my fiancé mom was like that now she's over it and very excited some parents have their hope and dreams up to usually their child graduating college career marriage then start a family they will get over it this is a beautiful thing don't let them get you down stay focused and do your best

@jordyns_mommy88 @momma_liz85 I really hope so :) i was just hoping they would react different since my mom had me 3 mths before turning 18 and parents were not together at the timw. but I guess she don't remember any of that anymore.

Yea when your a mom it's different. you will feel the same about your child of it happened to them you want the best. they just had big dreams for you that's all. it will be okay they have to realize life don't go according to plan

She probably remembers just fine and doesn't want you to go through the struggle she does. Many times parents don't know how to express their concerns properly. By any means though, I would be very hurt. I told my mom I was pregnant when I was 17 and she was more hurt that I waited until I was 7 months pregnant to come to her and didn't understand why i didn't think I could trust her to tell her. I don't understand your parents reaction. even if they are afraid for you, and wanted more for you, they should love you enough to support you and your decision to mother the child. I hope they come around for you.

I'm 21 and my dad was disappointed but sees I'm very successful so he visits his granddaughter a lot! my mom was very excited as well! my daughter did the furthest thing to ruining my life she made it worth living!

parents want the "best" for us. they picture us first with a career, marriage & then a child. once their grand baby is born hopefully things change for the better. my first pregnancy my mother was extremely upset. but with time & the birth of my son she was happy she never really did get over it, bc even after 6 years of being with my bf, 3 of those living together I haven't told her were expecting baby #2 bc I feel she will be disappointed that I haven't done much with my time as far as school and getting married. ;/
