I understand you completely all my family is in nm too except my sisters and parents i had a bunch of friends but everything changed after i had my first baby like usual so i have maybe 4 friends i can talk to constantly and will hang out with me and my babies every so often.

@yesenia5, I know what you mean, I get along really well with my bf's family, but it would be nice having my family and friends around more instead of when we go down to visit or when the come up on occasion. For sure! it would be awesome to have a play date or something. I lived in westminster for about 2 years on 92nd and Lowell:p we're in Brighton now though, so if you're ever up this way too let me know!:)

@dezi414 exactly! his family is nice throwing me a baby shower but honestly I wanna just tell them no only because his family and I well aren't rude with one another but don't care for them too much and they'll be the only ones there lol. well whenever your in Westminster let me know girl we'll have to take babies somewhere!: )

@yesenia5, I've lived in Colorado for about 5 years now and my whole family and all my friends are in NM, so I feel ya. it sucks only having your bf's family and friends, and no one else. It sucks cuz all the friends I do have here don't have kids and it's hard connecting with them.

I can relate, really. I don't have very many friends. The few friends I do have, I rarely see and we live in the same small town.

Like you, lots of people around me are still living the kid free life so it's hard to relate.

And the other moms I know are just as busy as I am!

Find things to keep yourself busy and entertained. I do lots of crafts with my kids, I just recently started my own business, I go for walks, I take 10 minutes to myself in the evenings for "me time'. Some times, especially in adulthood, we crave being around others and it doesn't always work out. We have to learn to find ways to satisfy our needs of communication and doing small things, like a walk at the park or even going to the library can bring more people, that you can relate to, into your life.

@boogersbugsanddirt, I find myself not even knowing how to keep a conversation lol it's sad at work no ones moms but 2 ppl so its hard they wanna go out nd drink well I have to go home and put baby to sleep oh well I guess it's better this way
