I didn't bath my daughter for 4 weeks 😂 she was so tiny and I didn't want her to get cold...Dr's told me to keep her wrapped up and really warm at all times as she wasn't gaining weight well and didn't want her to use energy to keep warm. so we didn't bath her until she was gaining weight well lol
Well yeah, he's you're child, you can do whatever you like lol but the midwives will say not to bath until the stump has come off to reduce the risk of it becoming infected x
They say every 2nd night! My hosp don't let u out until thyv shown u how to bath baby! Mines will b getting a bath everynigjt at same time so it knows a routine xx
Its up to you when you do it...if you do it white the stump is still there make sure you dry it properly with cotton whool before putting the diaper on. Should be fine! I bathed his because he had loads of hair and it was full of blood and stuff .. x
my little one got a bath in the hospital, he had a lot of dried blood on his head where they had tried to break my waters but we're scratching his head (waters had already gone but didn't no) so they bathed him for me at tea time the day he was born and I also bathed him whilst his cord was still on xx
at my hospital the midwives showed every mother how to give a bath before they left. as long as you don't soak them for too long or it will take longer for the umbilical cord to dry up and fall off xx
It's recommended you don't wash them straight away as it takes away their natural protective skin oils, supposed to lead to dry skin etc @leighamy123 x
isn't it crazy how different hospitals have such different ways of doing things. my hospital didn't even offer me a bath or shower this time, let alone my baby.
At my hospital they didn't wash the babies until day 4 :) I didn't give my girl a bath until she was nearly 3 weeks old :) I just topped and tailed her :) I give her a bath every few days :) xx
