So Iv said I want a water birth making it as relaxing as possible with just using gass and air for help and people are telling me to..
"Take everything they offer you it's the worse pain ever.."
"Yeah you think you'll have a relaxing labour it's horrible..."
I hate it when people try scare you about labour! It's something no one knows how it is going to go every labour is different!! I know it's going to be very painful 🙄 but I am going on with the mind set as relaxing as possible (hopefully)🙏🏻

Мама дочки (2 года), беременна (30 нед.)
With my 1st I went with the mindset of having no epidural what so ever, and yes although it is very hard and painful if it's what you want you will do it the way you want to, I want to try a water birth this time I have heard nothing but good from other people who have tried it, you stick to what you want after when your holding your beautiful baby that pain has already disappeared from your mind xx

I had just gas and air. From 8cm's. I also had a back to back labour. I couldn't have the gas and air while pushing. So I was doing it on nothing for an hour. Then the doc discovered something wrong..so I had to have a spinal block and forcep delivery. If there wasn't anything wrong. I could've done the whole thing on nothing. It honestly isn't as bad as you think. Everyone has a different pain tolerance :) Do what you want to do. xx

Do what you want to do my opinion it's nothing like you see on TV. I'd do it any day even with the complications I had, its worth it I find braxton hicks worse than labour but everyone is different I'm due my 2nd baby beginning of May :) xx

@mlk252 My plan was to have a water birth too in the birth centre. But when I arrived there were no midwives to be with me in there. So I had to be in the delivery suite. I didn't want a spinal block or forcep delivery..but at the end of the day it is about ensuring your babies safety. It is actually a good job I had to go to Theatre...as there was a problem with my uterus contracting and therefore my placenta coming out..so I lost 3 litres of blood after I had delivered my daughter...I went downhill really fast and nearly died. I had a great team of midwives and doctors Xxx

Also get on a ball and move your hips in a circular motion or rock back and forth :) it helps with the pain Xx

It's definitely about relaxing into your contractions. breathing and relaxing. sounds really cliché but it's true. my first labour was 30 hours..after about 17hrs of nothing i had gas and air, wasn't allowed it for pushing so pushed for 3 hours and had venture with no pain relief. my second labour I had no pain relief at all. actually I Hd 2 paracetamol but that really didn't help lol.
I honestly had the mind set that I 100% didn't want an epidural (obviously unless it was some sort of medical emergency) and I told my midwives not to offer it to me. It was never mentioned and it just wasn't an option...so I coped !

I'm really hoping water birth goes ahead for me🙏🏻 Ye definitely what ever happens I have my baby in the end ☺️ xxx

I had a water birth and it was AMAZING!! Didn't even need the gas and air as I was so relaxed!! Don't listen to people when they try and put you off labour! Mine was really easy and was a complete breeze, but I've got friends that had absolutely horrendous labours! The only advice I can give is to stay as calm as you can and just let your body do what it needs to do! If you panic and stress, you're more likely to have a bad time! xx

@mlk252, I recommend it to any one that can have one, was such an amazing experience, not only for me but for my partner as well! My little boy was 9lb2oz and I had no pain relief what so ever, just let my body deal with the contractions and then after 20 mins and 4 pushes he was born! Didn't think I would feel so relaxed after giving birth lol. xx

tbh I went on gas and air and pethidine. which in all honesty didn't really do much do what you want to what people are telling you xx
