any breastfeeding mom's gave their babies pacifiers and have trouble with them latching and showing they are hungry?

My first 2 were fine but my third had nipple confusion for like a few hrs so I stopped it. I only gave it to her on the way home from the hospital and when we got home and I tried to feed her she had a hard time trying to latch.

Yeah that's what I'm scared of but she literally falls alseep nursing and then wakes up and is hungry. I don't wanna keep taking my boob out. lol

I waited until 3 weeks to give my daughter a pacifier to avoid nipple confusion but she really doesn't show much interest in it. If she's falling asleep while feeding you could blow on her, tickle her feet, or give your boob a shake to wake her up.

I gave my kids one at around 2 and a half weeks and they know the difference in sucking it to feel better and getting food. I was super scared to give to my daughter because she couldn't latch yet when I did, but she latched within days after. It is probably best to wait 2 weeks or more just until they are a good feeder/understand feeding!

Yeah that's what I figured.

i gave my baby a paci first or second night and he was bit rough on my nipple at first but then he learned how to switch back and forth.

Yeah I'm hoping that way
