My baby heart beat was 156,154 & the last visit I went to it was 131. Why did the heart beat go down…

As baby gets older the heart rate slows down.

Was it picked up by a doppler or ultrasound? if it was by a doppler it could of been the placenta because it has its own pulse. my midwive picked up my placentas pulse then got the babies heart rate at my 19 week appointment.

In early pregnancy a fetal heart rate is usually high, 150's-160's.. as you move further along it'll begin to decrease. I think i started noticing a decrease by like weeks 16-18. Went down from 153, 154 to 142, 143. As long as your babys heart rate is between 120-160 then he more than likely is fine. Thats a normal range of fetal heart rate. Unless you noticed it become slower by a big amount in a difference of a day then maybe would be best to see a doctor just to make sure he's doing alright.

mine went from 178 to 148.. it's just them growing !! I asked my doctor the same thing. They're body is starting to pump more blood so it slows the heart down just like ours!

My sons heart beat was 160 something in the beginning, now it is usually a steady 135. Totally normal ☺
