She's been with her boyfriend over a year. He told her up front that he might have a child. He said he and another guy he knew had both slept with the same girl and they didn't know which one was the father of the child. A few months into the relationship they asked me to show them how to get a dna test but never did it.

So I guess last week child support papers showed up at there house for this baby. My sister was confused as you can't be ordered to pay child support (so we were told) until paternity is determined and he had said he didn't know whose baby it was
But when she asked him again this time he said it was for sure his baby and he knew because he had a dna test done the day the baby was born and is arguing he told her.

I'm not really trying to get in there fight but idk what to tell her. She doesn't seem mad about the baby just mad he lied. but I know she loves him already so I'm pretty torn as for advice. she's debating leaving him

You dont have to have DNA for Child Support unless he denys the baby. Im going thru it right now.

Yeah its helpful in my case cause he knows he is the daddy so I dont know if he will ask for DNA or not (I was living with him when I got pregnant) but Im hoping not so it will be easier. Anyways, I dont think she should leave him. He lied but if the relationship is worth it she should fight for it.

a year isn't long enough to know someone in a relationship. I know it feels like forever when you're younger, but it's not. if she doesn't trust him at this point cause of this, it's probably not worth sticking around.... hell, I've been in my relationship 4 years and I'm still learning new stuff. no bombs dropped on me like that though. I know about my SOs son, but had he thought it was a good idea to lie about it, I personally would've left.... but that's me, and everyone is different (:
