Finally washed all of my sons clothes now I can start doing the hospital bag ..I know I'm super late on that lol at almost 39 weeks.What are your thoughts on washing your baby to be new clothes? This is my first time doing it smh I didn't know they could be so dirty.

I do it just because my fiance and I both have super sensitive skin so I wanted to make sure to give her as fresh of a start as possible

What is the detergent you used I usually would do all in clear But couldn't find it so I tried purex baby I actually like it better because All free and clear always made my other children clothes smell weird to me @emily18234

@childofthemoon20 All of my mom friends use dreft detergent and it's good to wash because clothes don't have the cleanest journey from the manufacturer to the stores. Also, if store bought a bunch of people have touched the clothes and not everyone is clean.

I did it because babies tend to have sensitive skin and you never know who was touching the clothes at the store haha eww. and the dyes can be really harsh. I used dreft. :)

I always wash the babies clothes just because you don't know who all's been touching them. But my doctor told me not not even waste my money on baby detergent because the baby will be in contact with you and your SO others detergent when you hold them anyways and if it happens to cause a rash then just switch. But of course that's totally up too you!
