Ladies how does everyone go about combination feeding. Does it matter when you feed both of them? X

If the your little one isn't getting enough milk from the breast or is still hungry after then bottle feed but you can do both it doesn't really matter jst asking as the baby get enough food xx

when you say combining do you mean formula and breast or more than one baby? i did formula and pumped breast milk and topped up formula feeds with whatever i managed to get from pumping as wasnt enough on its own

I'm combi feeding they say it's better to breast feed at night but I'm mainly breastfeeding and expressing in the day as I'm not filling her up on breast milk.

@mama2bee, @tam77 @ljay I can't pump enough for what he wants so was thinking of introducing the occasional formula feed aswell. He takes from the breast and bottle like a dream. Experimenting at the minute also as he gets bad reflux at times aswell. Really reluctant to just put him on formula but want to help his reflux aswell so thought maybe combi feeding could help this? Xx

@suzie31, yeh that's great cuz if u Arnt producing enough breast milk the formula is jst as good x

my second boy had reflux to so i did formula with the thinkening topped up with breast milk. worked well for me . xx

You know your baby, if you think he's not getting enough add some bottles in. If I breast feed she gets fussy and falls asleep so I just top up with formula, I've just got and electric pump so am able to get a full feed out now. It's been trial and error for me. But I'm still trying to breast feed but just remembering that it's more important my baby has enough X X

@tam77, I was thinking that, how do you measure that correctly? Xx @ljay Oh he Def gets enough, I know about it when he doesn't. I pump to bottle and breast feed as I can't pump alone quick enough to stock up. I'm considering formula aswell to help with his reflux. If he didn't suffer from it I wouldn't bother with formula. x

i measured the formula out as the instructions so make maybe an oz less then needed and add pumped into that
