Moms that have children already or have already given birth... How do y'all feel about private…

If we could afford private school we never would have done public school.

my daughter goes to seventh day adventist private school. I think they still teach common core with all Oregon state test.

@mamabee hmm I'll have to look into the ones here then, I don't think Alabama had a state test but I know if they do private schools wouldn't take them. I graduated in Texas and that's how it was they made their own test

We plan to do private school. We considered letting her go to public school in elementary but we are leaning towards a private Christian school from preschool

I went to private school and my son goes to public school, he struggled in school a lot so I wanted to keep him where he wouldn't be to overwhelmed so I felt public school would be more appropriate for him. But I was a quick learner and I think private school challenged me and prepared me for college. I think it depends on your child's ability and your school districts performance.

@jennyrose1145 it's mostly common core I'm trying to keep her away from, so I'm looking into private schools I don't like Alabama's school system... I grew up in Texas an the difference is huge

I have been homeschooled, privet & public. The kids can be just as mean if not meaner in privet & just as bad but better education. I will prob homeschool the first few years to get mine on a good foundation then middle/high school I'll put them in school idk which one yet when they know right from wrong & can defend themselves.

@mel0011 yeah I'm doing it more for educational purposes and her daddy said homeschooling isn't an option bc my little sister home schools and does nothing all day. sadly kids are mean regardless..m I cheered in middle and high school yet still got bullied there is really no way to fix that except making sure your little knows that its not okay and to stand up to them

I know they are. If it wasn't for me my brother would have had it a lot worse at the private school we was in for middle school. To me public school kids was nicer but don't like the education. As long as you stay invoked I'm sure she will be ok in either or.
