mothers become mothers 9 months before fathers. It's not very real for them until they feel it or see it.

Maybe he's scared you'll miscarry. My boyfriend's ex wife could not get pregnant and then she finally did and miscarried at 12 weeks. They never ended up having any kids.

So now, until about my 4th month he practically held his breath until the doctor found her heartbeat each appointment.

That's definitely a huge fear of his. ): he's had like 3 miscarriages with previous gfs and I myself have had two. One before my daughter, and one after. I took a test the day after my missed period (1 day late) and it was faint, but it was definitely there and he refused to believe it. We still haven't even told anyone cause he wants me to get through the first 2 months.
