How tf are you supposed to potty train a 2 y/o who isn't yours? Everytime she goes back to her…

Everybody's got to be on the same page, otherwise it's too confusing for the kid

This has happened to me before and it is the most confusing thing ever. I would potty train the little girl and her mom would give her pull ups when she went home.

@nessielynn, sadly you can not if both households aren't on board than every bit of progress you make with the tot will being retracted the moment they go to other said household and be put back into diapers/pullups. Before you start trying you should try to get the other house on board with it as well or it's kinda all for nothing and will confuse the toddler severely!

@babes87101116, @misstheophile so in other words... give up. I'm the ONLY ONE trying to potty train her. I'd love it if I didn't have to change 3 sets of diapers when my son gets here but it really doesn't look like I'm gonna have a choice.

After a while I told the Mom if you don't get on board with me, then you will have to do it yourself. She said oh it is difficult, oh I can't do it. I had to tell her instead of partying all over the world , take her to the potty. She said well I will try and I told her trying is not an option because your stupid self is not working, so DO IT.

@misstheophile, @soontobemomof4, yup thats exactly what happens. yet all the underwear that I BOUGHT and sent over with her, didn't come back. She hates that her daughter calls me Mama. Lil girl knows the difference between Mommy and Mama, don't be mad at me cause your daughter knows who she lives with and who takes care of her on a daily basis. Her mother is too concerned with all her petty little dumb shit to even take the time out for her daughter. 2 years old and her mom still has yet to get a stable place so she can have her daughter. That's the best part...no one is holding this little girl from her but her own damn actions. Like how bout you work more than 2 days a week...how bout you save your money... I love this little girl but I am NOT her mother, and she knows that. She whines all day that she misses Mommy and there's nothing I can do about it.

For me I am not a step mommy and will never be, but I was the babysitter. But I raised her as my own child and still is. She is 14 yrs now and I loved her dearly girl.
