I'd say wash them most of the clothing companies put fire retardent on the clothes to help prevent children catching on fire if there were ever to be a fire...it's really harmful to the baby

I think it's best to wash just in case there's chemicals on it that might be a skin irritant.

you don't have to but its best to. so many different people touch it at the store with their dirty hands, they fall on the dirty floor, they were in the dirty stock room and boxes. baby's skin are really sensitive when they're small.

I'd wash them because of what @pandabby805 said and so many people touch clothes I worked at Macy's and baby clothes are so cute almost everyone that walks by goes "awww this is cute" and grab and put back or falls on the floor n stuff so I would definitely wash it's up to you mama.

plus you never know what's packaged with the clothes, I worked retail a total of 12 years and I cant tell you how many times their have been strange looking dead or alive bugs packaged with stuff, its gross

I'd wash them to be safe. Companies put something on top so they look all soft and appealing and to keep them wrinkle free. My son has extremely sensitive skin so I definitely had to. My hubs accidentally put a onesie one him that I hadn't washed and he broke out on his back and tummy. :(
