@caitlinnalexis, it doesn't jump start labor, if you're already thinning out and dilating, the sperm help soften the cervix

nothing worked for me with my last baby they had to rupture my membranes and I went into labor that night

when I was pregnant with my daughter me and my SO had sex the evening before I went into labor. About 5 ish and I went into labor at 6am the next morning.
