Lord I need help my son will be 2 in April and will NOT stay sleep in his own bed which is putting a strain on us because baby in bed =no adult time, I have tried laying with him in his room until he falls asleep and then going to my room but he gets up then come get in our bed, I've tried letting him fall asleep in our bed then laying him in his and he wakes right up, it's already hard to sleep and it's even harder with a butt on your head and little feet in your face any tips will be appreciated!

you might consider getting him one of those nifty projector nightlights or getting him a little radio and playing some nature sounds to help him stay asleep. i let my son watch a movie in bed to help him sleep. once its been an hour tv goes off until morning.

I guess my so's mom used to put a baby gate in front of the door so he couldn't get out

We have an evenflo pressure gate in the doorway. We have custody of our 2 year old nephew and he can climb the wood gates. But this one just has the bars up and down. It may be a rough few days of fussing but you will be thankful when you are finally able to rest. We made it where if he gets up he can get to his toys etc and we have a movie on for him in the end one way or another it works out. Now he's in a toddler bed and it's been alot easier cause he doesn't try to climb out of the crib and risk getting hurt or some other gross things he used to do. Now he gets up and plays and falls back asleep.

@34466, his crib turned into a toddler bed so he's in that now and I will look into a pressure gate im desperate at this point

@mrshamilton830, girl I understand lol we've had our nephew since last July he turned two in April. He got to the point he would wake up and strip all his clothes off especially if he had a poop diaper and smear it wherever he could reach! I was ready to pull my hair out. Now between the gate and TV we are getting some peace!
