Depends on the hospital. The hospital in my town you have to go to the ER regardless & in a different town nearby you go to the l&d area during the day & after a certain time you go to the l&d section within the ER :/

funny how al hospitals around the country are, the hospital I go to has an ER in the L&D floor just for pregnant women...

usually you check in through er and then they send you up. Ask the hospital. The same place you register you check in is what I know

Definitely call L&D and ask... My hospital you call the L&D unit they write down your info and then you just go right up when you get there
