It's best to try to get the nutrients with safe foods or vitamins, again, try really really hard not to indulge in the craving and talk to your doctor. Don't be embarrassed, I'm sure he has heard of this before. It's uncommon, but normal during pregnancy. My best advice is to eat a snack, drink a cup of water so you feel full and try as hard as you can not to eat it.
yeah, I just looked it up and your body may be asking for iron. maybe something else. I would suggest you stop eating it and ask your dr to be sure that your baby is safe.

(And yes, a lot of the odd cravings from pica can cause harm to your baby. Don't eat it, don't indulge. Talk to your doctor to see what nutrient or vitamin you're lacking in to crave that.)
