So, we have an update! Wednesday when I went to my ultrasound to figure out why I'm measuring big, we found out that I am actually two weeks further along than what they thought and baby girl is already 6 pounds and practicing breathing so, so well! She is doing so great! I would be 35 weeks this week, but I am actually 37 weeks!
Anyone know any ways to help induce labor? They said if I don't go into labor soon, then they will have to induce me because she is so big.
Also, we don't want to be induced because I plan to have her all natural.
@aj33, well you need to realize that every pregnancy and every woman is different. The way you came off, seemed like you were trying to tell me what to do and what not to do. We all have doctors for a reason. I didn't ask anyone to comment and tell me if it's okay or not, so that shouldn't have even been brought up. I made it very clear in my post that this is what the doctors say is okay and what they want. It doesn't bother me to have people comment on my posts lmao. It bothers me when people like you are commenting trying to tell me different than what my doctors are telling me. You don't go to my doctor appointments, my ultrasounds, or the last two times I was at the hospital with contractions and leaking fluid. There is a reason they want me to have her within the next week or so. I promise, you don't know more about my pregnancy than I or my doctors do. You came off rude and acted like you knew it all. That's why I got an attitude with you. So maybe if you don't want someone to be rude back to you, then you shouldn't be rude in the first place. Maybe you're the one who shouldn't comment things like that, when I clearly wrote that my doctors want this for my health and for baby's health.
@marskhaos, thank you! We all have doctors for a reason! I just get so annoyed when I see women on here trying to tell other women what to do with their pregnancy. When it is okay and when it isn't to try to get things moving. The doctors know that better than anyone. 37 weeks is full term, at least at the hospital where I am delivering. I have also had multiple kidney stones and gall stones with my pregnancy. People just don't realize that every pregnancy is different and every woman and baby is different. Again, that's what the doctors are for!
My mistake I didn't see your original tag. And yes 6 lbs isn't considered big but can definitely be too big for someone with a petite body. Dr's know best, if they think your ready to go into labor @alainaharris415 my dr told me to curb walk with my first child. I ended up going 9 days overdue and had to be induced and it was very painful being on pitocin. I hope baby is able to come without induction:)
I happened to say that, because I am in exactly the same situation. my baby is weighing in at 6 pounds 8 ounces as of last week, and my doctor is adamant that he needs to stay in as long as possible for lung development. regardless of how big he may be his lungs aren't ready. if it bothers you that much to have people comment on your post, then don't post anything at all! No need to be a b****!
I agree with @alainaharris415 if her doc says the baby is ok to be born then awesome and saying six pounds isn't that big? Maybe that's big for her body type?
@jessd1988, it wasn't directed to @tater4414. read the comment. it was for the other lady, @aj33, who is trying to tell me what to do and what not to do. I have doctors for a reason.
woah, she was just telling you to be careful because of her own experience. @tater4414 didn't say anything negative. calm down sister this site is to be supportive of other moms :)
@aj33, seriously. I didn't ask for you to comment running your damn mouth. My doctor said it's okay, so how about you but your nose out of my fucking business, if you have nothing positive or helpful to say. My nephew was born at 35 weeks, he was fine. I was born at 37 weeks, I am fine. And the doctor said my daughter is fully developed and doing perfectly fine. Plus, I am already having contractions, so don't tell me what I need to do and what I don't need to do. Thanks.
Be careful because I was measuring 2 weeks ahead and they told me I was 2 weeks ahead and ended up being 2 weeks behind. Thought I was almost 27 weeks when I went into labor turns out I was only 32 and had her at 34 weeks.
that's not that big. you shouldn't be trying to induce yourself. baby needs all the time they can get inside for their lungs to finish developing.
Also, @aj33 , you are only 35 weeks, that is not yet full term. They might want you to do the same once you get a little further along being that your baby is already 6 pounds at 35 weeks. BUT. I am not your doctor, so I could be wrong and that's okay, because I can actually admit that. 😊
