Rant:
My baby girl went to sleep at 8:30 pm, got up at 1:00 am and then again at 6:30 am. By 7:30 she started to wake up again to start her day. Well her shuffling around woke my husband up. I said to him"are you getting up for the morning"? He said "no, why"? I said "because I was going to ask you to take Emmy for the morning so I could get more sleep". He said "can't we all just go back to sleep"? I said "no because she decided she wanted to get up and start her morning".
So he storms out of the room to the bathroom. He then texted me "give me a few minutes" I said "it's fine I know your so tired, I'll get up and start laundry with her" I get a "no" back. I said " you already told me no, so I'm up".
I was able to start me coffee and breakfast. Folded the clothes that were in the dryer. Move the washed clothes to the dryer and start a new wash all before he decided to get out of the bathroom.
So he comes out kisses me and then next minute I know he's in the bedroom playing his video games. I walked up to him and said really? You had such an issue with me asking you to get up to take care of Emmalyn that I got up and now you can play the video game? He said well it's your fault your the one who got up after I told you I was getting up. So don't be pissed at me.
Really? Really? Smh.

That's some insensitive shit. Excuse my French, that makes me so upset. I wish my husband would.

@raegenice, there are some days where I wonder what the hell is he even doing here. I don't need him for his fucking paycheck. I take care of everything any ways.

@emmysfishies, have you talked to him about this?? Because that's ridiculous. You're doing more than your part. You didn't have that baby alone, so he can't just sit around and just LET you do everything as a father and as your husband. Do you think your marriage has changed??

@raegenice, in some ways yes. I have talked to him and he has gotten better. Some days suck more than others. But he doesn't have a good influence. His step dad works away from home 99.9% of the year and his mother takes care of the kids. So in his mind the father works to put food on the table and that's it. But even with his mother his mother hasn't even taught him compassion. She has no compassion for anyone either. So I'm trying so hard to just teach him that that's not a mans only job. That to be a dad you have to be exactly that.. A fucking dad. He's just a big fuck up some days 😒

@emmysfishies, ah okay...so there's some influence. People really do react differently with what they've been given. Some people take it to heart and live life the same way or they take it and make sure they never do the same. He sounds like he's a bit in between. But yeah, never let him use it as a full excuse. He's grown, he has responsibility and he doesn't have to be his parents. It'll continue to take time but he has to buck up and help out. Being a mom is a full time job and it's definitely hard to do alone, though not impossible. But he's there and if he was willing to help create that baby he needs to be willing to help that baby grow. She didn't ask to be here. Bringing in the bacon doesn't make a parent. I hope he gets it together for you guys.
