I'm 5'2 and considered short, I started showing around 8 weeks. I'm 13 weeks now and definitely look bigger. I belive it's true. my belly is just as big as my friends who is 6 months pregnant

@alexmarietx, hm... Nerve heard of that... I'm 6 and a half months pregnant and my belly is small! I'm 5'0 though don't know if you'd consider that to be very short lol

I'm also 5" i too looked huge around 16 weeks. now I'm 31 weeks and look super huge lol and it is true shorter girls don't have as much room for baby, but it also just depends.

@temp, no not yet baby hasn't let the dr see. hoping next appointment I'll get to find out. I have my next appointment on the 22nd

@alexmarietx, i hope your little one lets you see at your next appointment:) mine was not shy at all but up until i went i was terrified they wouldn't be able to see. my sister even said it's either a boy or they won't be able to see. i got so mad at her for that haha.
