i waited full 6weeks to do anything (mainly because it hurt like hell). alot of people dont wait but you could get infection (low chance but still a chance, higher if you have stiches) you could get pregnant again and its not necessary safe yet because your body is still healing and bilding back the nutrients it needs for pregnancy (many have got pregnant in a week or so of having baby and was fine but others lost or had complications). My doctor said its up to you and what risk you want to take but that he recommends at very very least one month

I would recommend 6 weeks you need to heal properly
