I have chronic migraines and had to stop taking my daily excedrin when I got pregnant. Tylenol is really all you are allowed to take. You can try Tylenol PM which has benadryl in it. It helps me with the tension part. Warm compress on the eyes, lay down in a dark room. Heatpad on the lower back helps draw the blood out of your head.

My dr told me it was safe , has caffeine I don't take them daily, and my babies are fine.
