my youngest son was climbing out of his crib at 9 months, so I got him a toddler bed. I didn't want him to get hurt falling off the rail of the crib. He did really well with his big boy bed.

@cowgirlffa90, okay I am thinking my daughter will do good to and if she does fall it's not to far from the floor like the crib.

That was exactly my same thinking. My son did really well... it did take a couple nights to get him where he would stay in the bed at bed time. He discovered his newfound freedom and thought it was cool to get up out of bed, but he learned.

@cowgirlffa90, I can so see my daughter doing that too so thanks for the head up for that. I am going to get her the bed I kinda felt like I was rushing her and not letting her be a baby even though she acts like a little toddler.
