Hey ladies, I was just wondering if it's true that the government can pay for day care. A lady from my old job told me to try it, but I'm not sure if I qualify, or if that's really even an option. Have any of you ladies done it? And if so what are the qualifications? (Care.com is pretty expensive, the minimum is $10-15 hr, which is what I'll be making) thanks in advance.

yes. in Illinois its called Action for Children. it pays for the sitter/family member that watches the baby at home. or pays the daycare but you'll still have to pay some money weekly to the daycare, for me while I was in hs it was $12 a week, but I had a family member at home so I didn't have to pay anything.

They do. In Nj it's called 4 C's. I know when I was a student it only took about 2 or 3 weeks for me to get approved.
