Legally, they must give you 6 weeks.

Part time though? I know full time they have to no matter what and it's your maternity leave but more curious on part time lol

I work part time as a cashier and I'm getting six weeks. Not paid of course, but my manager told me it's illegal to refuse maternity leave, and if I need more than six weeks to just let them know. 😊

@tlanes, I need to work where you are then! Cuz my boss told me they don't know if they can hold my job for 6 weeks and they only could for 2 weeks like I'm going to need more then that! I'm having a C section and I don't know what to do about now having a job to return too :(

Omg! They have to give you six weeks ESPECIALLY if you're having a cesarean. I would definitely research it, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal to do that to someone. To be safe, while you're recovering and on leave, I would start applying to jobs online because that's not cool of them at all. 😠

@tlanes, that's what I've been doing looking for another job cuz they already want me to bleach things and paint walls and stuff and obviously I can't do it, they call me worthless...I just been suffering through cuz I need money! Just stressful!
