Yea on Tuesday at my appointment I was 40 weeks 4 days and she gave me the option of yesterday or today to induce and I was like oh no definitely Wednesday. I was not waiting another day lol @rileysmommy2016

I had my daughter at 45 weeks, nothing dangerous about it

@loveless, they can pee and poop in their sac.. And thats not good if they do

they already pee in the sac, meconium is normal it's only a concern when they take their first breath and inhale it also the consistency; thin and runny okay but thick sticky is an alarm that something might be up. the only real concern about going over 42 weeks is the amniotic fluid dropping that's why water in take is so important. anyway as long as your water is good and there's continued fetal movement, going over is not a bad thing and it has been proven that the longer a baby stays in the womb the stronger, healthier, and smarter they are. in fact before induction drugs were introduced it was common to go up to 44 weeks pregnant
