I have nooo idea if my lower back is hurting because I did a lot of walking yesterday or there's something wrong.. when I lay on my right side my whole left side starts to get pain and my leg feels numb, and when I switch to lay on my left side, it does it with my right side.. my back is hurting so freaking bad right now I'm crying.. I'm three months pregnant now.. and it doesn't help when I have my son waking up and crying I can barely move.. 😢

i have some severe back and neck injuries..so i know the feeling..also im a certified nursing assistant and i have my medical assistant degree as well but to me the way you describe the pain and what happens when you try to switch sides and your having the same problem and with the numbness and tingling in your legs it absolutely sounds like its your sciatic nerve.. if i were you id mention it to the dr so they can check it out and try to help you and try to get it fixed.. and your still early on in your pregnancy so your definitely going to want to get it looked at and try to get the problem corrected asap because as the pregnancy progresses and the further along you get and the bigger your belly and boobs get and the weight gain your going to have its going to make the problem ALOT worse!!! so in my advise definitely call your primary care Dr and if you dont have one of those go see your OB and let the DR know whats going on and they can refer you out to someone to get it checked out!! also if you dont get it looked at and taken care of it can make it much much harder for them to do an epidural!

@tinyram09, thank you so much I also got told monday that there's a slight chance this pregnancy will be high risk....😢 I will know more about it next appointment when my blood work comes in. And I didn't get the epidural with my son.. natural wasn't that bad but for sure I'll call my OB first thing in the morning and ask them what they think. THANK YOU AGAIN!

its absolutely no problem darlin and if you need anything else you can always private message me!! when i had my son almost 7 years ago i had some minor lower back problems and I had to be on pain meds from 6 months on throughout the rest of my pregnancy.. i was considered very high risk with my son and it wasnt because of the pain meds.. i will tell you this i dod get an epidural with My son and normally they are only supposed to try to insert the epidural 3 times max well the dr who dod my epidural had to do it 5 different times before it stayed amd started to work.. and i also have asthma and im claustrophobic so i couldn't wear an oxygen mask and i was having alot of trouble breathing ..i was in labor for 27 hours and my back was literally on fire from the amount of pain i was in anyway we decided to turm the epidural off for a little bit so i could get my breathing under control..and then we turned it back on before it wore off all the way..i on no way wanted any kind of natural child birth! well before it had a chance to kick back in the nurse said my son was finally ready to come out..well i pushed for another 3 1/2 hours and he got stuck 2 different times and at that point it was all natural!! i felt every bit of it down to the tearing of my va jay Jay and i tore on the inside and outside of my vagine!! i can tell you that after the traumatic birth and the horrible experience with the epidural my back problems got alot worse..and then 3 years ago i was in a really really bad car accident and I've suffered some very severe injuries to my lower back and my neck and now im pregnant again.. my dr is really wanting me to just have a c section because of the birth of my son and because my injuries have gotten alot worse over the last 7 years! now i do not want an epidural woth thos baby but i also do not want to have another baby naturally.. so im going to look into other options.. they can gove you pain meds through your iv and also now they are starting to offer laughing gas..it's 50‰ oxygen and 50‰ natural air amd from what ive read there haven't been any known damages to the child so im really considering those options for myself and im trying to do everything i possibly can to avoid a c section but of it will end up being safer for the baby then that's what i will do!!..,so you can do some research and also talk to your OB DR about different alternative to the epidural!! ps im sorry thos comment turned into a darn novel..lol.. but if you have any other questions or anything else youd like to talk to me about please feel free to message me anytime!!
