mommas opinions please. i have epilepsy, i twitch randomly without notice, heart has stopped 2x since the ago of 16 and im 22 now, high anxiety, heart doesnt beat normal (skips every so often)..really im a mess medically. i keep goin back and forth on gettin an epidural when it comes time but im worried one my many issues could happen and things go horribly wrong. with knowing just those few issues would an epidural be worth the possible problems or just stay away from it?

I would say that if it is a chance that it could cause complications getting it, try and see if you pull through the pain. when I was in labor with my daughter, the nurse and doctor actually were able to give me some pain medicine in my Iv every few hours that really helped with the pain without all of the side effects of an epidural. Talk to your ob about options and see what can work best for you. Pray a healthy pregnancy and delivery for you and baby!

woah.. what a struggle. poor thing! honestly i dont know how to gage your medical issues with combo of epidural. but personally i did mot get an epidural with prior pregnancies and i will not with this one. to me the risks associated are not worth the reward. plus i have a control issue. haha i dont want to not feel whats going on. if that makes sense. many moms get it out of fear. but personally i believe my body was made for this and pain is only temporary. but complications could be forever. everyone is different. and obviously i say no for myself regardless, i have had moments where i thought i would give in due to pain and didnt. but if i had all the extra issues of epilepsy and heart issues.. no one would talk me into it! either way do your research. consult your doctors and make sure you are comfortable with your birth plan. ot is only yours. praying for you
