So, when I first found out I was pregnant, we wanted to wait until I was out of the first trimester to tell everyone. We thought it'd be really cute to announce on Halloween. Well, my family ruined that by opening their big mouths and spreading the news like wildfire.

Now, let's fast forward to last weekend. My fiancé and I decided to get married Friday, and announce it at our baby shower on Sunday. Once again, my family went and opened their big mouths so we again didn't get to announce like we wanted and it wasn't as special because half of everyone at the shower knew.

So, we decided that when the baby is born, NO ONE is allowed to take any pictures of her except myself and her father. And the only people who will receive pictures via text are his mom and my dad because they live in different states. Everyone else will have to wait to receive their birth announcement in the mail, unless they come to the hospital or to our house to see her. We wanted to be able to share at least the birth of our child and her first pictures on our own with no family involvement.

Now here is my question. Why did two of my cousins go ape shit when we announced our decision? They literally became so belligerent and told me I was "dirty as hell" for deciding this. Like it was okay for them to share all of my other news, but now that we are literally not even allowing cameras in the hospital room, I'm the bad guy. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?!?!? Last time I checked her father and I laid down to make her, and I have to push her out, so why are they so upset? We didn't say no one could see her, we just said no pictures for now...
