so I just screamed at my dog because she tangled herself on the run, slipped the collar and ran away…

My dog did that once. Ran under my feet when I came home from work. I chased her out the door she would look back and then keep going she thought we were playing she ran right into the road and got hit by a car. We were so lucky she tumbled right under it don't some scraps and bruises but she is still with us. Now she never runs from me. If I call her she comes she doesn't go in the road she stays away from cars. She learned her lesson unfortunately they hard way. Work on giving commands. With treats as a reward until your pup learns to listen and respect. It'll take time but soon the pup will learn when you call it means treats and love.

thank you and I'm so glad your dog is okay. it just sucks because she's like almost a year now and she was so good like 3 months ago. she would come when she was called and I gave her treats and stuff like you said. she came every time. but I started not giving her treats and then she came less and less. she is so stubborn omg. then I gave her the treats again and she Still wouldn't come so then I'd get mad and yell so she deff didn't come then lol. I need the dog whisperer or something. I just thought that the treats would work but idk what else to do. sorry about the rant but it's so hard dealing with her sometimes lol

@ourmiracle2016, I have three dogs so I totally get it my boy Chauncey is the most stubborn. He comes when he's called but shits in my house. 😩 just something you have to work on. I know it's hard not to yell but dogs don't respond to anger. You have to be stern and just as stubborn. They need to learn to respect us instead of thinking they can get away with it.

Yeah exactly. I don't want her to be afraid either I've always been like that. and she does the same. I've been putting her on the run lately because it's just safer, and the neighbors complained lol but she comes in after 2 hours outside and shits on the floor. I just always think it's just because I'm a horrible dog trainer and she knows she can walk all over me. I have to say I really like the name Chauncey I've never heard that before that's adorable! @twinscomingsoon
