serious question, does anybody receive cash assistance from welfare & have to work for it threw them? I am going to do it because I don't have a job anymore but I will have to work for it and go there 3 times a week for at least 4 hours a day and get only like 230 a month. I already said I'd do it and signed a contract so I don't want to back down from help but it just seams I could work at an actual job and make a lot more for actually having to work. opinions please & hopefully someone who has done this!

I have done this before. I was so annoyed by the whole program and the type of actual lazy people I had to be around everyday. I used it to my advantage to find a job as quick as possible. they had computers , phones and fax machines for use. to me it was definitely not worth the money and the workers treat everyone the same like we were all just lazy and didn't want a real job.

@mrsmitchell I feel like im gonna feel like that! I don't have a car since none recently broke so that was why I wasn't going to get a job but now that im gonna be going there 3 days a work getting rides there and back, getting a real job would be the same if someone will hire me when im almost 7 months pregnant. I just feel I could make so much more money working

That program is made to make you feel that way. They want you to get a job. I was on it with my last pregnancy and I was on bed rest so I didn't have to do anything. I just gave them my Dr note and they called me every two weeks to check on me. But as soon as I had the baby I had to go in and comply. Getting a job is actually way better but with you being so far along I do understand your dilemma. All you can do is try to stick it out until you find a job or until you have your baby

@mrsmitchell thank you so much! I think I will keep with it and just try to find a job but since I'll only have a little more then 2 months to work Idk if anyone will hire me, but I will deff be looking for a job after I have the baby no matter what not right away but like 3 or 4 months after
