I'm going to be a FTM and I am absolutely scared about delivering. I know i need to have a good mind set so I don't upset myself or my baby. I really don't want to get an epidural only because I heard it can sometimes make your labor longer but I suck when it comes to pain :( urgh

I'm sure you'll be fine with whatever choice you make but I had a great experience with the epidural with my first son I hardly felt anything and only was in active pushing labor for about 15 min

That gives me some hope. I've known women who've had a really long labor. I'm just nervous about the feeling of it. I know it'll be worth it.. Plus im also scared about the catheter @julieannnie

I was very uncomfortable with the catheter I'll have to admit that I hated it not that you can really feel it its just knowing it's there made me way uncomfortable but my sister and best friend did one of there kids without the epidural and they said never again lol

I give them props!!! At least they can say they did it. Did you have to deliver the baby with the catheter in? @julieannnie

That's true I'm too much of a baby with pain to try without it lol and no they remove it when you go into active labor and start pushing
