epidurals..what's your take.? I wanna go natural but I'm afraid I'll give in and choose the epidural. what was your experience with or without?
I have a semi high pain tolerance but I'm scared...I have my fiances family but none of mine live close. I just don't want to be in so much pain I go in shock. that's what happened to my friend
so can you get like different doses or is it one dose for all. this is my first child and could be my last I want to feel some of it but not sure if I can handle all of it. I wanna be able to hold him right away and walk stuff like that.
I was 42 weeks and 1 day when I had my son. I labored for 40 hours and hit 10cm without medication and ended up at a hospital because I had a cervical lip on his head. The epidural helped with the pain until I got my c-section
I went up to 8 cm and ended up getting the epidural but I still felt when to push and I could walk after i got it. it just eased the pain a lot but every mom is different . ☺
I've heard it can cause back problems down the road and a friend of mine got one and she said it felt like a bee sting but really bad one...I'm not due for another few months but it's getting closer and going by faster than I realized.
I wanted to go natural but ended up doing it and I am glad I did. Just don't over do it and you will be fine I could still slightly feel contractions and felt when I needed to push and was able to push perfectly.
did fine for me. didn't numb me totally. I still felt when to push and could move my legs. didn't feel it going in either. I had to be cut and I was ripped inside and out. took over an hour to sew me up. if it wasn't for the epidural I would of felt every bit of it. my doctor told me to Thank god I was smart and got it.
With my first the epidural didn't work and she ripped me and it was some serious pain and she was a preemie only 4lbs then with my second the epidural worked and omg it was heaven not feeling that pain lol but it's harder to push cause you don't know if your pushing or not and with my third I was in the hospital almost a week before I had him and had an epidural in for three days before I had him and told the dr to stop the drip cause it was stopping labor and once it really got going I started it back but it didn't work and omg I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone and he was early too 34 weeks but he was 6lbs I've just been stuck with an epidural at least 8 times cause my back is messed up they miss so I think that's also why mine didn't work but I'm having twins this go round and will most likely have a c section and is prefer them to knock me out just cause I have bad experience with epidural lol but like she said everyone is different it's really up to you and how you feel
