Its possible your body won't react. Its been women who had a listen to the heartbeat came back for their next appointment and the baby doesn't have a heartbeat anymore. 😕

With my first baby i was 7weeks along went in for an ultrasound and everything was normal i could see the heartbeat and everything a couple days later i started cramping really bad and my OB told me to come back in and when they did the ultrasound they couldn't find the heartbeat i had to wait 5 days to have my d&c honestly the worse thing I've ever had to go through in my life it happens so fast and for no particular reason... Im not sure if the cramping was my body telling me something wasn't right or not though...

My friend had a miscarriage. Her baby stopped growing from week 8 to 12 and the baby had no heart beat and they had to go in and detach the baby from her body.

Something similar happened to me. At 7 weeks they saw a heart beat and then at 9 it wasn't there anymore. I didn't have any cramping. Because of my work I had to wait 5 days to have the DNC (I wanted to work thru the weekend). Then about 6 months later I got pregnant again with a molar pregnancy. At 8 weeks I had a DNC. There was never a heart beat. Still never had any cramping. Then 4 months after that I had a spontaneous abortion at home. I was 5 weeks with that one. I started spoting 2 days before it finally came out. Dnc are no fun but I think the spontaneous was worse. 6 weeks after that I got pregnant again (crazy, I know). Now I'm 32 weeks and I'm still afraid that something will go wrong.

@valrocks, You are so strong and brave for what you've been through! I couldn't! But don't be afraid. You're almost at the finish line. Have faith. God has you and your baby wrapped in his arms!

It wasn't easy but I have a great husband how was very supportive and loving thru the whole experience
