Did you ladies have a Pediatrician picked out before your baby was born, or did you just let the hospital where you delivered assign one to you?

With my first I was soooo oblivious to everything. No one told me I could have one ahead of time, so when the nurse came in and asked about a pediatrician after I had my baby I was like "uhhhhh, what." lol. Obviously it's good to have one ahead of time because then you can find one you really like, but I just never thought about it!
its good to hear that you liked her and that she was good. and yes thats very true. i was starting to wonder if anyone ever did let the hospital assign one to them. @their.bomb.ass.mom
I didn't know anything about it and I let the hospital assign me one. I kept her because she was good. I might let them do it again, only because I've let it go so far, if I don't like them I can always switch I guess. 😂
i bet. my OB knows a Pediatrician that is good so i was going to talk with him especially since he takes medicaid, it does stink having to find a new one after being so comfortable with your previous one already. @aek91
yea , lol I really like her too she's seen my oldest since she was 3 so all my boys & myself can go to her & now our little one has to have a new doctor it's going to be so hard to find a good one

@carlidrake24 I went in and talked with him, brought my best friend and her baby to see him ( they use the same one) and got to see how he works with little emmery and instantly loved his bedside manner! definitely set up an appointment with a few I interviewed 5 before I foun Whitaker:)

did you go in and talk with the pediatrician or did you just hear about him/her and decide to go with them? just trying to make sure what exactly you have to do @hermommy
my son had his picked out when I found out I was pregnant & this time I have to look for a new one because his PED doesn't take our insurance anymore. 😔
We couldn't be discharged without telling them who the pediatrician was so I just told them the doctor who my friend takes her daughter to see. Ended up loving her though so it worked out
