Yeah almost made me cry. She obviously doesn't realize what she's saying, but it's just sad. And her parents are very friendly and not like that at all. Wonder where she picked that up from and what would make her say it. I almost thought I heard her wrong the first time, but then she said it again. I don't like the babysitters with the black faces. @iheartyvettee @justmarriedhavingaboy

😢 I'd say something to get parents because if my kids said that I'd wana know and explain things to them. I also give my kinds black n Asian etc dolls to play with other than white tho so they know faces are of all kinds.

I mentioned it to her mom and told her that I wasn't offended. But she should definitely have a talk with her because who knows where she will go repeating that and may say it to the wrong person. And not only that, she just needs to know that it's wrong. @justmarriedhavingaboy

Omg that's horrible I used to babysit a little boy and I was watching him while his mom got her nails done and an African American woman walked in and he started screaming "you black monster!!!" "Niggerrr" I was so embarrassed and the grandparents thought it was okay too cus there from a dif country ...there just wrong

You're right, kids do not know what they're saying but she should learn that it was wrong. I'd recommend saying, remember when you said (and repeat back to her) and let her know that it hurt your feelings and you are the same as any other babysitter. When teaching vpk a little girl told her dad that he was dirty and her teacher was clean. Naturally he was very upset and came in rather angry/yelling at me...I simply told him his daughter is learning about the world around her and it is our job to teach her right from wrong. In class we had a lesson on opposites using a clean pig and a muddy pig to show opposites clean vs dirty...I used that as a chance to explain further to her that this is not the same when looking at our skin and that the different colors of skin is what makes us all beautiful. I'm sorry that was said to you, I would've been upset too

That's so sad. I'm thinking maybe she had a bad experience with a previous baby sitter who was a different color from her since you said her parents are very accepting of other races. I'm curious to know where she picked that up from as well.

ya me too @natjay2015 @ayyeblackberry_ I'd say something to the little girl as mentioned because she obviously doesn't understand but I'm glad to hear the parents appologized and don't raise her that way. happens to often that race is an issue when there's no need. I have huge issues with racist people.
