Do you have painful lump in your breast? How painful is your breast right now? Is there red line hot spots nipples cracked? Try feeding as often as you can. Is she latching on good? If feeding becoming too painful try using the pump as much as you can. Try putting a warm cloth on your breast or a warm bath, try massaging the lump if there is one you can take some Ibuprofen to help as well with the pain if the pain doesn't start to ease after all this call your doctor and make a visit hope you feel better hon mine was so bad i remember crying so hard I had 102 fever my breast had red lines cracked bloody nipples they look scary!
Me!🙋🏻 You want to make sure that the baby is getting the milk from the back of the boob because thats where all the fatty milk is so what I try to do is dedicate one side for every two hours. So for example from 2-4 only nurse on your left and then from 4-6 only nurse on your right. That way the baby gets all of the milk from one breast. It also helps if you hold the baby up a little (almost in a sitting position) so that the milk isn't pouring out as much. If your baby gets fussy while nursing take him off and try to burp him. My little one always needs to be burped during feelings. And I wouldn't pump unless you're in horrible pain. The more you pump the more your body will produce and it won't really solve much in the long run. Warm showers are great for pain, at least for me.
There is a lump, I've pumped and pumped but it won't break down! My nipple is pretty normal though. She is latching good but once it like sprays out and drowns her she gets mad and detaches, it's only shooting like that from one spot though? @ab
I wish I could over produce! I have a hard time getting anything out, it makes me so irritated cause I so badly want breastfeeding/pumping to really work! I just don't know though. I'm hoping that when my daughter comes home from the NICU I'll have better luck with everything! do you have any tips since you have such success with it all!?!? I'd love to know what the secret is! @kparis
I honestly think my diet it my key! A TON of water and then I just googled "best breastfeeding foods" and eat that! Also you could try fenugreek pills, I did those it the beginning when my milk wasn't as much and it brought it right up! And I would try to (if your not already) pump on a set schedule @azmonmy2016

@kparis, I just pumped more often so I didn't have that much milk when it did let down. Or pumped a little before feeding her.
