@aj33, well keep me posted on your situation hun, I hope it all works out for the better :) I've been waiting to have this baby for so long and now that its getting so close I'm freaking out a bit! Even though its not my first its been almost 9 years since I gave birth. I just hope everything goes smoothly.

@aj33, well I'm sure as you go and your Dr checks you he can determine if its safe for you to be induced. I would mention it to him/her also, because I know how unbelievably uncomfortable it is at this point in the pregnancy, the sooner the better, if its safe for baby of course.

35 weeks. I hope he doesn't last that long, but my first was on his due date, second was the day after, both natural

Hopefully you pop that day too :) @aj33 I guess it depends on your Dr, I know if you go to 40 weeks it is the best option but if the Dr says its OK to induce then I say go for it. When I was checked with my first son I was already contracting and dilating and I had no idea until I got to the hospital to be induced. How far along are you now hun?

I'm just curious. my baby's at about 6 1/2 lbs already, but Dr insists he needs every day up to 40 weeks for lung development. I just get to deal with a huge baby

@aj33, No particular reason, I was induced at 39 weeks with my first baby and I have the same Dr who delivered him so he suggested we do the same for this baby. He did make it clear that I won't be induced unless baby is ready so before it happens I will be checked. but also since my son is already weighing in at 6lbs he's pretty certain that he'll be ready by the 24th.
