Ok so I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant and our store manager just got promoted to district manager. Leaving our store highly understaffed (we were down 2 people before that already) and she's put us all working 6 days a week again. Which I was going to suck it up and deal but now on top of that we're working extended shifts which she didn't even bother to ask me if I was ok being back to working 6 days a week and now 55+ hours a week. My feet and legs are swollen and now I'm having a ton of pain in my hips and vaginal bones. I feel like it's just too much not to mention I don't have any time to get ready for the baby. I was thinking about asking my doctor to put me on a no more than 40 hour limit but then I also feel like I'm being a big baby. 😔 I seriously can barely walk around I'm so sore. I don't know what to do.

I would most definitely do it! At my job we can't work understaffed so if someone calls in you get forced over so there were a lot of times I'd get forced for 12 and 16 hour shifts. it sucked. and it's not worth it! don't put that stress on your body or the baby.

bein that sore and far along i would get dr note for no more than so many hours working. either that or try talkin to manager and see if he/she understands and changes it without the note. no reason to make yourself miserable

I told her a while back I didn't want to work over 40 hours in my third trimester and she kept me at 45 or so hours. Which I just kind of sucked up but now this. She's not a good manager. We got into a fight once because she told me I couldn't have my doctors appointment off because we were understaffed and I was like um? This is for a medical reason not because I want the day off. I already work over an hour from the hospital as is. She doesn't care. She has no idea what it's like she's 27 and ignorant @krstokes2016 I seriously hope the doctor will give me a not. I can do 40 but this is too much.

We had things like that happen when I was in early pregnancy and it wasn't so bad but I think my body is just over it. I hope the doctor will I think I'm just over it at this point @aubriesmommy

yea definitely try to get a note then. thats crazy someone can be so inconsiderate. you dont need to go thru that extra stress. hope the best for ya ma @celestialllwolf

It blows my mind. I think I wouldn't be so mad if she had asked but she didn't even bother to try and be considerate. I feel like a giant baby asking the doctor to write a note 😂 @krstokes2016
