Ok so question for you mommies out there. Had dinner with a friend tonight. She has an eight month old. She just filed her taxes and said that because she took maternity leave and they were over a certain tax bracket, she went from a $6000 return to a $1600 return. Have you ladies experienced this at all? Trying to find out what to expect next year.

H&R is ridiculous they always want $100 per W2, it's bananas :(

My husband filed with h&r and they didn't take anything and he had 2 w2s that's so odd

We go to h&r every year and pay approximately $330 to get it done-give or take. They go on how much u make yearly.

They give an option of automatically taking the fee out of ur tax returns (which we do) when it comes in OR paying outright day of appointment.

My husband and i both took maternity and got back $4700 sounds like she may have gotten screwed.
