had my first day at my new job today. not only did I make a pregnancy friend, but I also got pleasantly surprised to learn that all 6 to 8 weeks of my leave I will receive my wages at 50%!! I was expecting nothing! AND I will automatically have 2 weeks of paid vacation after I finish my 6 week training period (which will be used during my maternity leave for 100% of my wages) AND from next March until my baby's birthday, I will be able to take 2 weeks (consecutive or one day at a time) of paid "mommy and baby bonding time". literally get paid to spend time with my baby!
SORRY IF IT SOUNDS LIKE IM BRAGGING BC I PROMISE IM NOT
I just finally feel this major sense of security they I've been praying for from day one 💕

@emkasting, it's a company called Synchrony Financial, (I didn't look at your profile to see what part of the country you're in so it might not be familiar). I'm getting 6 weeks of paid training to become a fraud specialist. my last job was as an STNA in a nursing home but the mental and physical toll it took on me was more than I was willing to put up with SO I am trying something totally new and so far I am looooving it 😍
