I wish I had the type of job where I could sit down all damn day and get paid. This unpaid maternity leave is stupid.

Me too ! I'm honestly scared to go back to work if I do get a job between now & August . More than likely it's gonna be retail . Retail don't care if you pregnant . That's my biggest fear .

girl me too. I have 2 jobs a full time and a part time and neither one of them are paying me during my maternity leave. I'm like really how am I supposed to be stress free while recovering and adjusting to life with a newborn when all I'll be thinking about is how are bills gonna get paid or how am I gonna put food on the table. I think it should be illegal

@mamabearluken, are they forcing you to use pto ? Or your time that you've saved up because that's the predicament I'm in.

I work for a private practice dental office so we don't get personal or vacation time at all. there's only 8 of us that work there. so my Dr is great about giving us time off when we need it it's just not paid. I'm gonna see if he will let me take phone calls from home and still do some easy work at my house during my time off to make a little bit of money but idk we will see
