For those who have, what age did you take your child out of state? I'm due in May & my bf wants to take a trip in June/July to see his side of the family. It's about a 5 1/2hr drive, & our daughter will be 2 months... Not sure it that will be too young of an age to go on a "trip".

I haven't had our daughter yet, but my parents flew up to Pennsylvania with me when I was only 5 weeks old (2 Hr flight).

My daughter was born in June last year, we drove 31/2 hours to Pensacola beach to visit some of the in laws and in September we drove 7-8 hours to visit the rest of our family. So a month and 3 months when she took her first big trips

I live in Indiana, but my son was born in Nashville because that's where I'm from. We stayed at my parents' house for about 2 weeks after he was born, then officially brought him home to Indiana. He's 2 months old now and we've gone back and forth several times, and he's done great! We also have a trip to Alabama planned in early May, he'll be 4 months old then!
