so they found my issue... yesterday i was admitted to the hospital after a normal ct scan but an usual spinal tap. i have whats callee Pseudotumor Cerebi. it's built up pressure in my spine and brain that doesn't allow my natural fluid to be absorbed into my body and without medicine it can lead to visual loss and even blindness... but none of the meds are safe to take right now. They plan to contact my OB to talk about a plan because the pain is excruciating 90 percent of the time. I'm just praying my baby is ok because right now I can't function without medicine.
I just need prayers and I urge all of you to listen to your bodies! I knew something was wrong and no one listened or did anything until that one doctor last night. 😔

found out a while back ago. i was on 1500mg of acetazolamide. but i quit taking it because it was making my legs go numb and i was tumbling down my stairs. as of right now im just kind of dealing with it. you can take tylenol 3 while pregnant for the pain. i am allergic to the codeine so i just suffer. i you need to talk or vent im here. i know how bad this sucks.

@hannam, that's the issue is its so bad that tylenol doesn't help. they are going to talk to my ob so hopefully they figure out something I can take

ask about tramadol. i know its also safe. my ob gave me imitrex. is it affecting your vision?

@hannam, yes it is really bad double vision but they gave me a dose of that med you said you were taking and I'm starting to feel a lot better. my headache isn't as bad or anything. it kind of freaks me out taking it but my OB oked it earlier I'm assuming cause that's what they were waiting on

the medicine does help. but my advice is to drink ALOT of water. and if you drink anything carbonated it taste like paint thinner.

and tingly feet and hands are normal. just a crappy side effect of the medicine.

omg @hannam I tried to drink a sprite with dinner and it tasted horrible lmao I'm definitely trying to. drink more water. just makes me nervous taking it while I'm pregnant. do you know if it ever goes away

mine went away after about 8 months on the medicine. i still get headaches. but they are more so migraines than from high pressure. i get them most when the weather changes.
