Not to give TMI, but as a first time mom I've been worried about my ability to breastfeed after birth as I hear most people's milk doesn't even come in til afterward... but I've been finding yellow 'crust' on my nipples lately, and very occasionally I'll see round stains inside my bra. However, I've never felt or seen actual leaking of colostrum just the yellow crusting when I get in the shower.
is this normal and is this maybe a sign of premilk coming in? I've read some people leak early on but i just want to know if it's relevant and if I should be concerned about having trouble nursing... thanks in advance mommas.

that's how I started off but at 18 weeks then I would soak my shirt if I didn't wear pads. My milk came in the last day I was in the hospital but when he was born my colostrum wouldn't come out for nothing. it doesn't indicate if you will have issues or not. you just have to wait and see once baby is here.
@harleysmom, thank you! I didn't know if it might just be my nipples cracking or other type of discharge since it's so little in quantity and it's never liquid by the time I notice. hope you're right ❤
That's your colostrum coming in! And if that's happening then I wouldn't worry too much about having trouble breastfeeding, but you won't know for sure until your baby is here
