6 cm is active labor momma, but if you're not contracting you should be fine, I literally just got home from l and d and that's what they said..

that is not true.... you go to the hospital is your water is broken and you have having contractions 3-5 mi n apart....

@teamblue040416., I have never heard of that! Your doctor is the professional and they say you are ok then you are ok. If they were concerned they would not have let you go home. I know a lot of people who walk around dilated to a 4 for weeks and don't go into labor.
